I’m a nonprofit fundraising professional in the Portland, Oregon area, currently seeking my next assignment.
I work… I sing… I play…
By day I’m a philanthropic fundraising and development professional… currently seeking a new role, as of this writing in January 2018… a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and past board member and past president of the Oregon-SW Washington chapter.
Since November 2011 I’ve held the Certified Fund Raising Professional designation.
For a number of years I’ve been a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society… aka SPEBSQSA, the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America… where I’ve been on the leadership teams of local chapters (Hawaii & Portland) and for an annual International Convention held here in Portland.
I also sing with the Oregon Adventist Men’s Chorus (a 501c3)… for which I also do some communication, public relations, publicity and promotion, and help out with fundraising, and now serve on the board… I lead a men’s praise team and I sing in a small men’s chorus at my church.
I enjoy spending time with my wife of four years, Jan… I enjoy photography, golf, hiking, the beach, the mountains, reading, writing, movies, music, sports (Blazers [Lillard Time!]! World Champ SF Giants! SF 49ers [Now that they have a quarterback – Jimmy GQ!] Seattle Seahawks [Russell Wilson!] …
